Photo ID
To receive notary services in California, you must bring a valid form of photo ID with you. The state of California has a list of acceptable photo IDs that can be used for this. Some of the IDs that you can use include:
- California driver’s license
- California ID card
- U.S. passport
- U.S. passport card
- Driver’s license issued by another U.S. state
- ID card issued by another U.S. state
- Canadian or Mexican driver’s license
